*Bad news today class! You are meeting with your counselors for the entire period!!! Good news is that 1) you still have your values definitions quiz on Wednesday. You will need to be able to identify each of the values terms and match them up to some of their definitions from the handout. There WILL be examples on the quiz that will only give you one of the bullets from a definiton instead of all of them. The second thing that you will be required to do will be to match values with their contrasting values. For this part of the quiz, you will be given all 10 values and will have to place them in their 5 pairs. **
*** No NEW homework today except to study.***
*****IF you did not complete your substitute work (thoroughly and well) and upload it to Classroom, you will need to do so before our meeting on Wednesday.
Week of 9/17 Agenda
9/21 (Day 2) Daily Agenda and Student Expectations -
At the end of today's class, the student can - 1) ID the basic definitions of the Historical Values that we will focus on this year; Apply historical values definitions
Classwork assignment - Work on following linked worksheet --> docs.google.com/document/d/1r0LYwxnzK0o35Ph-PvAdgL6L-vLNYRT7Vvn7OzmR7Tg/edit?usp=sharing The top of the worksheet has a link to a reading that you will use to seek answers AND you need to use your values definitions sheet from last class. Include specific language from the definitions on the values sheet in your answers about values on the assignment. An example of this would be: The people of Philadelphia appear to value hierarchy because they turned out to honor their leaders. A hierarchy exists when there are clearly differentiated levels of superior and inferior relationships. Finish the sheet UNTIL the section on reasoning. You do not have to do that yet.
IF you finish early, you can work on your upcoming (whenever your due date is) Feel Good Friday assignment. Also, make sure that you have shared your Quizlets.
